We'll use this thread to post the new projections for this week, most come out on Tuesday. I expect us to be out of the Nat'l Seed range.I was able to ask Kendall Rogers and Aaron Fitt from Baseball America our current status as a Nat'l Seed ... answers below:
Kendall Rogers
"I think Texas is still in OK shape, but I don't think it is in great shape anymore. With that said, the 'Horns still have a fantastic resume and will earn a national seed if the scenario you just listed plays out (beat Texas St and take 2 of 3 from BU/A&M. Those are big big RPI games coming up. FWIW, I see the 'Horns taking two from the Bears this weekend."
Aaron Fitt
"I think Texas' national seed hopes are still very much alive. This team has had two bad weekends all year, but most teams have had two or three bad weekends. Texas is still No. 9 in the RPI and just a half-game out of first in the Big 12. The team that wins that league, if it's Texas or Oklahoma, will be a national seed. The next two weekends won't be easy, but I think winning both series should be enough."
