Am I correct in thinking that the A&M/OU series this weekend and their record in the B12 tournament will determine which one hosts a regional? (A&M rpi 15/OU rpi 19)

Also, I would expect a strong team from the West Coast to be sent to Austin. No one on the selection committee is going to make it easy for the Longhorns, whom they loathe.

I'm afraid that Washington will win out and get sent to Austin and I'll have to make my second trip in 2 months down from Seattle.

Torre, I thought the same thing about A&M and OU. That is a crucial series for those teams. They're not both going to get a regional, so it's going to come down to who wins that series and probably how well they fare in the early part of the Big 12 tournament.

I'd like to see both of them finish well, which isn't easy cuz they obviously play each other, but i hate seeing so many SEC teams hosting.

If things play out like they're projected for the Austin regional, we're getting off light compared to LSU, Fullerton, Clemson and Florida.

I love how high we are in these projections ... I'd like to match up against someone other than Arkansas though in the Supers.

As much as I'd love to see it, I don't think we'll take the tourney. However, I believe the decisions are made before the championship game is played, so if we manage to get to the championship game...it's just as good.

Sweet! First, second or third in all those different projections, and most have Texas State coming to Austin for the regional.
I like our chances of advancing, but how far?

Personally, I hope Texas State goes elsewhere. They have a team BA of .338 with 67 homers in 50 games. They would not be in "awe" of the atmosphere, negating the intangible.
Past mid-week games are not a barometer for the playoffs.

Also, I would like to see Coach Ty Harrington, former UT player, go to Omaha, but not at our expense.
