Reggie Wilson Update

ESPNU 150 Watch List defensive end Reggie Wilson said his final three schools are Texas, Oklahoma and TCU, affiliate Web site InsideTexas.com reports.

Despite offers from across the nation, distance is important for Wilson. His family would like Reggie's school of choice to be driving distance from their home.

Wilson's high school coach, Scot Hafley, talked about a time period for his announcement, "Reggie wants to have his commitment done so he can focus on spring football and getting ready for his senior season. He's going to have his decision before the start of spring football (April 22nd for Haltom)."

OU hasn't been in the running for a week... I read an interview where he basically said that he cut us.

I am willing to bet that he'll be enjoying Austin in the fall of 2010.

Only problem is, if Wilson commits to UT, that pretty much takes us out of the running for Jeffcoat. Maybe that's the method to Stoops' madness.

Wilson will not effect Jeffcoat, they play different "end" positions. In fact, if we get Wilson, maybe that would help us get Jeffcoat, this way he knows someone great will be lining up opposite him, thus giving him less double teams?

I think it has been said elsewhere, Wilson would be the speed end, and Jeffcoat would be the power end.

Either way, lets lock Wilson up and worry about Jeffcoat later.
