anyone have any good websites for checking out prices/reviews on appliances?? I'm having a tough time finding much and would like to see if I can get Best Buy to price match if I can find a deal..

also, does anyone know anything about Samsung refrigerators? saw some nice ones but I don't know much about them...

go to epinions.com, they have some decent reviews.

also just because i hate them i'll suggest you ditch best buy and head over to Sears.

I've been to the following stores:

Conn's
Best Buy
Sears
Home Depot
Lowes

who else sells major appliances? most of the smaller appliance dealers don't carry inventory, which doesn't work for me since I need one this week...

Got a Sears Outlet Store near you?

They are a good place to look.

We got a "scratch and dent" electric dryer, freezer and stainless steel double convection wall oven from them here in Orlando and saved several hundred dollars on all of them, more on the oven of course, it was about half price but it works perfectly, but the freezer and dryer were cheaper than anywhere else we shopped.

The "scratch and dent" on all of them was miniscule and on the oven it's on the side inside the cabinet that holds the oven. The freezer is in the garage but the dent on it was miniscule too and on the side. The dryer's dent was on the side and does not show.

A lot of times there won't even be a scratch, the appliance will just be overstock or a repo that is in perfect condition.

The one drawback is that it is pay and carry, for the dryer and freezer they had a private contractor that delivered them both for $40, cheap. Even with the delivery charge we saved hundreds off of other places.

By the time we got the oven the wife had a pickup and we hauled it home ourselves and I removed the old one and installed the new one myself.

We are shopping for a fridge ourselves.

We just bought this refrigerator from the Sears outlet for $1149.00 on Saturday.

It's got a small dent on the left side that will be hidden by the cabinet.

My wife saw a set of theseThe Link

and wants them bad, as they are the right color

according to the guy at Sears the orange Kenmore wash/dry are the most popular they have at the moment...

as for us.. we bought a Whirlpool Duet dryer from the Conn's Scratch n Dent here in Houston that hasn't worked yet... ******* replaced the control panel, but it is having power management issues... 2 weeks without a functioning dryer...

we ended up buying an LG fridge from Best Buy... was highly rated by Consumer Reports and the free delivery and cheap warranty were attractive options..
