This is per Rivals. These are the schools, that IMO, are the best at recruiting year-in and year-out. I had to add Alabama in the second sheet, because Nick ****** Saban has been on a roll. I just show Notre Dame, because I can't stand them, and love to see them fail. From what I see, USC, Florida, and LSU should win out every year! I guess coaching IS a major factor, and Pete Carroll should get an F; as he has the most talent every year, but only 1 BCS title to show for it.

Interesting. Looks just at Rivals ranking and also only at what was signed, not what actually made it to campus or is still on campus, but still interesting.

Looks to me that those schools all have about the same average star ranking over a 5 year period of time.....3.5 to 3.8. USC's is a little higher than the other with the # of 5 stars they get.

However all the 10 schools are much closer in terms of total 4 and 5 star players....between 60 and 77. Miami, Notre, Dame, and Michigan are the 3 closer schools in that category with 59, 55, and 59 respectively. Those schools haven't fared as well as the others so you take them out and you can see that the more 4 and 5 star players you get that generally the better you do.

Texas has the edge over OU and I like that.
