Recovering itunes files

I had to completely reinstall my compuer and lost all my itunes songs. A few days later my ipod got wet and is kaput.

Can i get my songs back from Apple?

iTunes library gone, iPod gone = you're screwed.

Wow, that's some unlucky timing.

If you can find some way to extract and read the hard drive that's in the iPod, that may be your best bet.

Whether that's actually easy/possible, I don't know.

Try this

I would find an Apple Genius Bar near you and hand them the iPod.

If they can't restore it, they might be able to copy the contents of the drive to some other medium.
