Looking to buy an inexpensive (but well made) portable propane grill .... tabletop or otherwise. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Weber Q. They make a lot of different models based on what you need but we got my father one of these last year and he really enjoyed it. He liked it because of its size, it folds up when done, its really easy to clean, and it works.

or...we've used one of these at our tailgate for three or four years and it works great.

So weird, I was planning on posting on this exact topic when I came to this board! I want to get a portable grill to use for tailgating at my kickball games starting next month, and since gas grills heat up quicker than charcoal, I figured this was the way to go.

One of my biggest problems is that I am a grill virgin. I have always relied on guys to do the grilling, but I don't think any of the guys on my team this season are going to step it up, and I want to grill before/after each game, so I'm going to take the initiative.

Wish me luck!

I have the Coleman also and it works great. This weekend I bought a Coleman slow cooker that runs off the same mini-propane canisters.

Ive had the Weber Baby Q for three years now and love the damn thing. I actually use it more than my full size grill.

Based on everybody's suggestions, I bought myself a Weber Q100 portable grill today. Was just wondering .... I also bought myself a nice UT Logo folding table .... made of steel or aluminum but has a sort of vinyl table top. Will it be okay to cook with the Weber on top of this table or do I need some sort of heat protection underneath it? I don't own the Weber stand/cart but plan to get one in the future. Any suggestions will be appreciated! Thanks ...

I won a Weber Q, their new charcoal one.

ATX, if you hook up with one of the guys they will prob. grill. Just sayin'.

I have a mini Weber propaine unit and like it. Only problem on windy days you tend to loose the heat. Also some minor problems with larger cuts of meat. But works great for fajitas, burgers, hot dogs and the such.
