'Reckoner' by Radiohead

i love the "in rainbows" chat that underlines the song, freaking beautiful. my favorite song has to be faust arp though.... those strings sound like butter in my new Grado headphones. what a phenomenal album.
 
Both great songs. "all I need" is still the best song on the album though.

I didn't mean to turn this into an argument about what song on In Rainbows is the best (and I think you all knew that).

The broader point is that this album is beyond brilliant. It's classic Radiohead; it's the kind of music that makes you feel small.
 
Reckoner is a great song -- it's up there with Nude and Jigsaw Falling into place and is a top 3 song on the album.

Faust Arp is somewhat of a ripoff of parts of the Beatles White Album. Plus starting out the song with the words "Wakey Wakey" is totally lame.

All I Need bores me to tears and makes me want to fall asleep.

Decent album, but nowhere near the brilliance and complexity of older songs like Paranoid Android.
 
To each their own; "All I Need" is my favorite In Rainbows track because of (1) the slow build culminating in that beautiful balls-out last minute or so with piano, synth, glockenspiel and general wall-of-sound, and (2) the fact that it's one of two outright love songs Thom wrote for this record, although he still did them in a way that's never sappy or sentimental. "Reckoner" is a close second for me, followed by "Faust Arp".

Reckoner and WF/Arpeggi are my 2 favorite tracks on the album.

Nigel and Thom supposedly wanted Videotape to be the opener but the rest of the band disagreed. I REALLY wish they would've complied. The following would've been an incredible track list:
