Reason to worry????

Im hoping the ineptitude at the plate today was a function of Tucker and Rupp being out and the lineup being jumbled up. Let's hope that was the reason.

Looking at what the pitchers did, I guess Workman didn't do too terrible but Shinaberry did just that.

I realize it's baseball and no one has won them all, but I think that we should have easily swept this bad Stanford team. Either way, let's go out and win the series tomorrow and get the bats going again.

BTW, what in the world is going on with Hernandez? He has, I think 7 errors through 12 games. Not very good. What was his fielding percentage this year versus last year? Is this reason to worry about our SS position? Ramblings.....

I don't think this is a bad Stanford team, they always have alot of talent. Texas schedule has not been that strong. Not sure how good Texas or Stanford are yet, too early to tell. If they can win a series at Stanford that would be great.

I believe, according to Boyd's world, that Staford has the #2 most difficult SOS to this point. Being swept by CSF isn't as shameful as one might think, they will be in Omaha.

As far as the errors are concerned, things arent even in the smae area code as we were this time last year. I believe we averaged 3 errors a game before we got into conference play.

This team will be a dominating force in the Big 12 and in Texas. I believe we are better than Rice and A&M at this point, but not by much and we won't know for sure until we meet em.

The Ags are 3-0 so far this week beating SFA and Utah in the first game of their weekend series. As of now, The Ags in their 2nd game are tied 0-0, but have the bases loaded with one out in the bottom of the 2nd.

There are plenty of things to actually not be worried about right now, but the 800 lb gorilla in the room is that we haven't gotten out of a regional in 3 years with teams that have won the Big 12. How we do at this point is important for RPI and what not, but unless we get a good seeding (not having UC Irvine in our regional) is going to be the most crucial for us to get a good shot at playing at the CWS this year.

Oh and just fyi with the regard to the Aggies in that Utah game... bases loaded with no outs: K, K, out at 3B unassisted. That seems kinda sucky.

If the Horns win on Sunday and take two out of three from the Trees I think that is still a damn good deal. Playing Stanford on the road isn't easy and to come out of a three game series with a 2-1 record would be good. I like the momentum of this team going into conference play.
