After discovering the greatness of Cafe Pita + on Westheimer (Bosnian food), I crossed the threshold of Himalaya on the corner of Hillcroft and the Southwest freeway. Delicious Pakistani. My taste buds are in heaven right now although I'll be dying about two hours from now. Soooo freakin good!?

Houston food is by far my favorite thing about this city.

I need to try Cafe Pita. That is somewhat in my hood.

I walk in, Kaiser tells me about their special and I say, that's what I'll take. Easy enough. I hate 1/2 of my meal and am reserving the rest later. The beef I ate was fiery but so good!?

I am coming into Houston to visit my dad next weekend. I have heard great things about Christian Totem's cheeseburgers. Can anyone confirm?

christians totem, and christians tailgate (in midtown) are both excellent. i noticed the quality slipping at tailgate in the fall, but they have picked it up again.

if you want to roll the dice, lankfords in midtown on dennis is the king of inconsistency, but when they are on it is an excellent burger. they take only cash, so come prepared.

but if you want to play it safe, you will be pleased christians

Yes, but make sure you do to the dive spot off of I-10. the new sports plex in mid-town is inconsistent.

the food was great. i got the cevapcici and my table shared the meza appetizer.

would have to say that i prefer Kubideh (a Persian version of the same kind of meat) over the meat in the cevap, but it was damn good. and cheap

Went back to Cafe Pita + last night... we shared the meza as well and then I tore into some stuffed bell peppers... the order was giant so I ate one and saved one. Really like their bread.
