Really tired of the overuse of the PA system

I know whoever is running the audio/visual at the stadium wants to play with every shiny toy, but I'm sick of them trying to mic the band. I know they're trying to spread the music through the stadium, but it causes 2 problems:

1. Feedback. This was a lot worse vs. New Mexico State but was still present last night.
2. It's out of sync with the band, and make them sound muddled if you can hear both the band playing and the PA. They're out of sync by about half a second.

Going to email Belmont about this one. The band can be heard in their new position.

I'm also sick of the PA playing over the band (they mic'ed in pump up the crowd music over Texas Fight after a score in the second quarter), but I don't think that idiocy is ever going away.

Agreed- trying to mike up the band and play it over the stadium PA is incredibly difficult to do well, and they didn't. Besides, the crowds are likely to be quiet enough the rest of the season that you will be able to hear LHB just fine.

You can hear PA system? So far, it is just a bunch of noise, not distinguishable words.

While your emailing Bellmont, email that damn yankee band director and tell him that "Texas Our Texas" is not a Chuck Berry song and shouldn't be played as such. It should be recognizable and sung along with. I know they don't have a state song in Michigan (maybe some Barry Gordy crap), but WE ARE TEXAS!

I have called him about it, but the chicken **** son of a ***** won't take or return my call.

If you know him, I shall be delighted to buy him a one way ticket back up there.

I hate the sound system and I hate godzillatron and I hate the inceessant ads and I want to shoot that tv weatherman.

I have to second the comments about the band music being piped in through Godzillatron. IT SUCKS!!! You can hear the band from the whole stadium without having to use the gawdaweful PA system. The folks in charge don't care though, which sucks even more.
