I started acupuncture at Austin's AOMA (the Academy on Anderson) about three years ago. I went regularly, almost weekly, for long stretches. Took some breaks. I actually had an appt this afternoon and cooked a new batch of herbs.
My health is vastly improved. I eat differently than before. Kinks, aches, pains, and troubles in major organs, all have subsided or completely gone away. I look, act and feel at least 20 years under my age. I have more energy, stamina and ability to carry out work and any task than most people half my age.
Western medicine is good at fixing broken bones and messing with the body. Traditional Chinese Medicine is better at health and understanding how the bodily systems and energies work.
Have not seen a doctor, not even a physical, in over 8 years with two exceptions. Broken toe in 2003, and skin infection on my elbow when I scratched myself, also in 2003. Both those had nothing to do with health, per se, and a doctor was the perfect solution.
But the rest of my ailments have been adjusted in ways Western trained practitioners haven't a clue about.
