Ray Rice speaking to the team

Thanks LHAB for posting that
I had to research him to remember what happened.
In reading about his whole life that horrible incident was not a pattern.
And they have been married since 2014.
He does not need the money. He is doing this to open young players minds.
How hard it must be to publicly admit your mistakes.
I hope the players were told of his history before he spoke, maybe even shown the vid of him punching his then fiance.
He impressed me

Mad props. People make mistakes...sometimes bad ones. Some people's mistakes are revealed. Some remain "private" and they are viewed as better people.
This guy owned it...and his wife has stood my him...now he/they use the mistake to unselfishly try and do some good.
We need more people like these instead of the ones who make excuses, insincerely apologize, worry about their power, status or bank account more than truth, and point fingers at others...never truly owning it and therefore passing bad into society instead of good.
:hookem:

Good video. I have wondered what became of him. He's doing good work telling his story to young players, explaining to them how one off the field mess-up can bring a solid or promising career to a sudden end. I hope the guys listened and took it to heart.

Sure dont think it is "fair" that it brought his career to an end. ..see above...

There is always a probability that the League could reinstate him. Him speaking about what he did to young athletes will go a long way to be reinstated, especially since the girlfriend he punched is now his wife.

Reinstate him to be a coach? I don't know if there's a big enough market for 34-year-old running backs who haven't played in 8 seasons.
