For Track. Zack Bilderback was a big, fast safety for Celina. Wonder if he will try to play football too? At the Texas Relays, Bilderback made up 40 yards on the anchor of the 4x400 relay to win. Aldrich Bailey for Mansfield Summit, who is going to A&M and runs a 46 400, gave them a huge lead, but Bilderback ran down their anchor with what must have been a 47 something. I think they said Celina had the fastest mile relay in the nation this year. There is a video of it floating around somewhere.

Wow, that was impressive. Welcome to the 40 young man!

I know right? Watching Bailey run was a thing of beauty. He looked like he wasn't even touching the ground. Can't imagine why he didn't run the anchor. But Celina didn't give up and made an amazing comeback. Great win!

Looked more like 25 yds or so he had to make up. Got to believe his split was under 47 to make up that much ground unless the Timberview anchor was well over 50

For oldtimers out there, similarity to Carl Height in 1965 after Rusty & Billy Lloyd dropped the baton for Liberty and Carl anchored with a quarter of something like 45.1?

Thanks so much for the post. That was so cool, I watched it twice.
I love relays.

Both of those kids, the 3rd leg for Mansfield and the anchor for Celina are fun to watch. Bailey is just so smooth but that guy from Celina is just powerful. Fun to watch. Thanks for posting.

Speaking of Raulerson's football teammates and state-caliber track and field athletes, I still feel like we let a good one get away in Celina OL (and thrower) Jordan Roos. I know he wasn't as highly ranked as the OLs whom we signed in the '12 class, but I like his skill-set and have a feeling that he's going to be a darn good college OL.

Here is a link for Bailey running a scorching final split in the 5A UIL $x 400 final. His team starts out in 8th place when he gets the baton for the anchor leg.. I won't spoil it..Bailey

Of course the legendary run of Lam Jones in the 4X400 for Lampasas is supposed to be the greatest race in Texas High School history according to those who saw it.
