Rankings???

Asking a question out of pure ignorance and admitting that I have no idea if we deserve the ranking we have... why do Baylor and A&M continue to remain relatively high in the rankings? Is that just a nod to the Big 12 or have the basketball gods not noticed that they have lost three out of their last four? Just curious...

Of course, just asking a question about rankings probably proves the ignorance part.

Baylor has dropped quite a bit. A&M not so much. You would think they would have. Maybe it's because the losses are to other ranked Big 12 teams.

I know what you are saying, but it seems like such a self-fulfilling prophecy thing. The only reason we are in the top 25 is because. A&M beat us. We beat OSU. OSU beat A&M and Baylor. Baylor beat A&M. We beat Baylor... see what I mean???

I would say that OK might give us some answers but they lost to Baylor and then beat A&M. What a mess...

I really hope it means we are all that good and will each make a deep run in the tourney.

The Big 12 teams' rankings are hard to grasp.

A&M lost to OU first (which i'm not sure where they both were in the rankings at the time), but they were fairly close. Then they lost to Baylor, who was ranked above them at the time. Next loss was to OSU, who was ranked below them. Two of those losses were on the road...which could possibly contribute to them not dropping so much.

3 of Baylor's losses have come on the road, with the home loss to NU (NU has definitely proven themselves). So, i can kind of see them not having a DRASTIC drop in the polls.

And the Horns have lost 2 home games. I don't like it, but it's the truth and I can see why we've gone up and down in the polls, while A&M and Baylor haven't dropped as drastically as WE might like.

I think we can win in Norman, but we must have the intensity that we had on Sunday against Baylor for 40 minutes. This road win would do great wonders for the team's confidence!!
