I'm just now getting into this series.

#1 was ok.

#2 is great.

I haven't gotten into the rest yet. For some reason, season 5 seems to be cheaper that all the other seasons? Too much supply or does it suck?

Just curious to see if the level of greatness can keep continuing.

#1 Season 1
#2 Season 5
#3 Season 2
#4 Season 4
#5 Season 6
#6 Season 3

To me Season 3 was definately the worst.

1. Season 2
2. Season 1
3. Season 4
4. Season 3
5. Season 6

Haven't watched season 5 yet.

BTW, I just saw that Brannon Braga is going to be on the writing staff for Season 7. Oh ****.

Season one bugged me because they never figured out that the family was a target? Get a clue... PROTECT THEM!

Thanks for the input.

Which one involved the mountain lion threatening Jack's daughter? Season two? Whatever it was, that was the worst. All of the scenes involving her and the abused kid were like death. Then she meets that freak in the woods. Then she -- ah **** it. Just awful.

Hard to beat season four, I enjoyed it quite a bit. Good ending. But I still wonder what happened to the President after the crash? Did he live?

I've only seen the first three seasons, but #1 bugged me the most. It had a ton of holes and plotlines that didnt make any sense. I thought #3 was pretty good, and am surprised to see it so low an everyone's list.

Season 3 had the single greatest moment of tv show history *(spoiler at the bottom in case some haven't seen it), so it's right up there. I'd probably rank them:

Season 5
Season 3
Season 4
Season 2
Season 1
Season 6

6 was awful, the rest were solid though 1 and 2 had the insufferable "Oh no Kim is in trouble!" scenes, and season 1 was full of plotholes due to the fact that they only wrote like a third of the season before hand because they didn't know if they would get picked up.

*greatest moment of tv history for me was when Jack killed Chapelle. I remember sitting through the entire episode thinking "there is absolutely no ******* way this happens", and then he shoots him and the silent clock pops up. I was so stunned I don't think I moved for 5 minutes.

season 5
season 1
then it's a tossup between the rest with season 6 obviously being the worst.

based on 24:
-I believe that David Palmer is the best president this country will ever see
-I do a barrel roll in my living room once per episode popping up to a firing position
-I refer to people I don't like as "hostiles"
-when I can't get a hold of someone or am going to be unavailable myself I refer to is as "going dark"

other than that my life is pretty much the same.

SPOILER FROM SEASON 3

*I will agree agree with the Chapelle killing. It was probably the best moment in the series, because it was chin on the ground shocking, but the rest of the season was very ho-hum. The other best moment was probably Edgar, because I had totally forgotten about him before the gas got him.

Kim Bauer totally ruins season 2. Keith - Palmers kid ruins season 1. I liked 3-5 quite a bit. I liked 1 and 2 more than 6. 6 I thought started well, but really didn't carry any momentum. The Audrey character is one of the worst in the history of television.

Kim Bauer and Audrey Rains are two of the worst characters in the history of TV but not even their shittiness makes 24 ******. It's still totally allsome.

1
4
5
....then I'm not so sure.
2 Had some good moments, but parts with kim weren't so good. 3 was the one with chase right? Yeah and the mexican cartel. Nothing on that season was worth watching again. I think 1 was the best. One of the reasons it has plot holes and problems was that they we worried the show would be canceled halfway through and they needed the ability to finish the show.

I agree with most of the sentiments above, namely that Kim and Audrey were awful.

I loved Season 1 when I first watched it on DVD before I actually watched the show when it was on TV, but if I rewatched it probably wouldn't be as good as I first thought.

I really like Season 3. Season 2 was all around bad. Season 6 started very promisingly but faded into Bolivia for the last half. The other seasons were pretty good but I can't remember or tell them apart.

I'll go with this:
1. Season 3
2. Season 1
3 (tie). Season 4
3 (tie). Season 5
5. Season 6
6. Season 2

Season 6 sucked balls. I'm not even sure if I want to watch the next season if Jack is just gonna be a ***** ***** that cries over Audrey all day. The other seasons were all pretty good.

Seriously Season 1 bugged me so much that I wrote a rambling bitchy post about it on another message board. So after reading this thread I looked it up, and now when I read it I don't even remember half the stuff I was bitching about (nor can I decipher some of my typos). Either way I was really agitated right after finishing that season, and it took me years to talk myself into watching season 2 (and just recently season 3).

FYI here's my SPOILER riddled rant:

"The show was REDICULOUS!
There were very few likable characters, and every scene seemed to kill me with hating these people from Palmers goodie two-shoes act, to Jacks wife randomly going crazy after she escapes, to Palmers wife going crazy herself - with power. I mean if you watch the show week to week you may not notice it, but every single chracter in that show changed CONSIDERABLY over the season. I don't just mean they evolved like characters tend to do, I mean they were completly different. How does Jack's wife go from having the balls to get raped to protect her daughter, and then kills a badguy without blinking, to cracking up when she hears Nena ****** Jack, or whatever. She litteraly turned into a nutcase. And I don't just mean because of the explosion where she thought Kim died. Watch the season again and you will notice she's not even close to the same character she started the season out as. Same for Palmer's wife. Palmer's wife wasn't as bad, as you could see power was in her eyes from the start, but this weird puppet master she tried to turn into was random. It's one thing to protect your family from a scandal, but then she was basically encouraging a scandal.

But the biggest thing that bugged me was:

There's *NO*********WAY* Nena was a mole. None. Why would they have told Jack to kill her at the start of the season? They didn't know she'd be wearing a vest. And yes she claimed she wasn't working for those people, but she was obvioulsy in touch with them because she was the one who told them Palmer wasn't dead. Also *SHE* was the one who got them out of the hospital. If she was working with them, she would have just not tipped anyone off, and let the guy kidnap them out of the hospital. Her cover wouldn't have been blown. And finally they wouldn't have had to rekidnap Kim, just have Kim go to CTU, and have Nena keep an eye on them. Then when Jack is terminated she can take care of them. But that brings me to another point, the criminals were rediculous. In the end they wanted Jack, Palmer, and Jack's family dead. Yet they kept letting them hang around, tieing them, transporting them, recapturing them. Here's an idea, when you get your dad and capture jack Shoot him in the damn head. When you capture his daughter shoot her in the head. Then have Nena take care of Jack's wife. Hell why did she even tie her up when Jack's wife walked in and found out who she was? I understand that there wouldn't have been a surprise ending this way, but it makes no sense. These people don't care about killing anyone, why would they tie ANYONE up let alone the people they want dead :blackshaking: arrrg it killed me."
