Rangers vs. San Diego - Friday

Just got back from The Ballpark. Rangers won 12-2. It was nice to see the Rangers hitting, especially after the drought they've been through. Hope this is a sign that the bats are coming back - you can't ask every starting pitcher to win 2-1. Elvis Andrus was very impressive tonight - bunt single, couple of clean singles, triple to the gap in left center. But there are still concerns - Nellie Cruz has dropped to 6th in the order and does not look good at the plate; he needs to start hitting again. They also need Josh to come back strong when he comes off the DL.

The AL West may be winnable this year - the Angels have been on a hot streak, but it could turn cold again. If the Rangers can break even in the upcoming games against the Angels, we could have an interesting summer to take us up to Longhorn football.

I still am holding out hope that this is our year. We're going to the July 4 game (can it possibly be hotter than it was in Omaha??) and I can't wait!
