Back to back home runs by Hamilton and Blalock....Feldman out of a jam in the 1st. 4-1 Rangers.

Nice message from the Rangers. The pitching matchups for tomorrow and Sunday will be a bit tougher. It would be very nice to win 2 of the 3 - even nicer to sweep!

It would have been great to have won today. But at least the Bosox lost so we didn't lose any ground in the wildcard race.

^WorsterMan is right. The Rangers went into Anaheim knowing that two of the three would be essential in keeping the margin manageable. They will play the Angels seven more times after this series, and winning the series against the Angels is Step One in keeping playoff hopes alive.

A masterpiece by Derek Holland - 3-hit shutout, fewer than 100 pitches, and totally in command. The Rangers made all the plays, got the timely hits, and dominated the Angels. Mike Scioscia will not be happy with his team for this one - ragged defense, no clue at bat, and generally never in the game.

Rangers got the two-of-three we all wanted. Now it's on to Cleveland, and they need to do the same (or sweep). If the Bosox lose to the Yankees tonight, there will be a tie for the AL Wildcard!
