Rangers v Tigers Predictions

Verlander will pitch at least twice and the Tigers save man is a perfect 49/49 in regular season and 2/2 in post season in save opportunities. That is pretty stout. Tigers have edge pitching, Rangers edge hitting and the Rangers have home field. May also have fact that Detroit could have a let down after getting past the Yankees.

My brain says Detroit but going with my heart I will say Rangers in six.

To me, this series has the feel of last year's World Series match-up. Although the Tigers pitching staff is not as strong top-to-bottom as last year's Giants staff, I still fear they can effectively shut down the Texas offense given the presence of Verlander, Valverde, and some of the other quality pitchers on staff that they can throw at you. The Tigers offense is better than last year's Giants lineup. There is also the fact that the Tigers have been kryptonite for Texas over the last few seasons. The difference maker may be that Texas has the home field advantage in this series. Like FWHorn, my skeptical brain says Tigers, but I'll go with my heart and say Rangers in 6.

Earlier in the season, the Rangers were missing some key bats when they played the Tigers. According to Norm on The Ticket yesterday, with Hamilton, Beltre, Napoli, and Cruz all in the lineup at the same time, the Rangers are 34-9 this season. Cruz is due to break out of his slump any time now. Rangers bullpen is pitching extremely well right now. Rangers in 5 or 6.

BTW, it's 2:15, and ou still sucks!

I feel strangely confident about this series, so I say Rangers in 5. We beat Verlander tonight, mostly because C.J. is due for a playoff win.

Rangers have too many bats that are due, with the exception of Beltre, and lady luck will appear tonight, probably at least twice.

i just dont like the fact there are 3 day games in the next 4. we havent been a very good day game club all season, hopefully the trend doesnt continue. nevertheless i'll be watchin and cheerin my *** off from south austin! tryin to decide where to watch game 2...

(busy trying to pat himself on the back), the thing that is amazing to me is the number of different Rangers that have been struggling, and we still are gonna meet my prediction.

If you known the following players would struggle, Elvis, Michael, Josh, Derek Holland, C.J., and Beltre playing injured, how much different would your prediction be?

And the latest, Hamilton appears to have 'tweaked" something? Rangers need to finish this thing today, and get some rest, no doubt.
