Rangers sign Vlad!

Wow...was already excited to see what this team brings to the table in 2010 - hopefully he can do for the Rangers what he did TO the Rangers for so many years!

We'll see. I've a hand-painted picture of him hitting about .230 with about 10 home runs for the Rangers. It seems we always get guys like this when they're already over the hill.

Vlad's gonna be 35. I think he can still be productive if he's used properly, but those knees are balky.

Age, knees and injuries are factors. Last year he did very little.

Hope he works out and can stay healthy - he can still hit a baseball, and would offer very nice protection for Josh in the three slot.

Vlad had a great run out here. At one point, he was the best player in all of baseball. Sorry to see him go, but his best days are behind him.

Thought this thread deserved a bump after last night's wild finish.

Vlad has been an absolute monster so far and is carrying this team offensively. The Angels have to be kicking themselves for not re-signing this guy.

I hope he can keep it up. As as long-time Ranger fan, I can say that few names ever struck fear into my heart like "Vlad Guerrero."

one of the best 5 hitters of my lifetime, considering every time i've seen him he was killing the Rangers. Nice to see him on our side now....Only hotter deep threat in month one in a Ranger uni was Dave Hostetler....I think Vlad's impact won't end after a few weeks like Hoss's did

I love how Vlad doesn't wear batting gloves. No pitch is safe with him up there. Very strong fellow.
