Rangers rotation

No surprises, but I'm concerned that it'll end up being a weak link come August/September.

Last year, CJ, Colby, and Tommy had sub-1.25 WHIPs. The chances of them sustaining that this year are slim, especially now that people expect them and don't have the Cliff Lee in the rotation to take the heat off.

The Dutch Oven apparently had the best Spring out of all the starters. I just don't know if he can keep that up for the regular season. He seems to be over his bullpen issues and the awful playoff games he had.

I don't think Matt Harrison will amount to much. I guess with Hunter possibly going on the DL, they might need Harrison to be better early, and then a 5th starter late in the season.

It's weird that the staff can't seem to figure out the bullpen. I thought they had a good thing with Ogando and Feliz at the bottom of the pen, but neither of those guys seems content with that. Good talent in the pen, but horrible Spring results to show for it. Weird. Feliz could be one of the dominant closers in the game, especially with Rivera and a couple others nearing the end of their journeys. I'd be ok with that if I was him.

The whole pitching scene kind of worries me. Hunter was figured out late last yr, and Holland was too. I think CJ being in a contract yr will mean he'll be at last yr's level....everyone else I'm not too sure.

When we missed on Cliff Lee I was hoping we'd get Soriano as a dual closer. With Cliff gone the set up men are going to wear down in august-sept.....we'll need 2 closers- or so i thought. If Nefti starts then we have none.

As Herzog used to say, "if your pen don't have a closer, you can piss on the fire and call off the dogs".

Not really thrilled with their rotation, I do not think they can be as successful as they were last year. Rangers have had no relief pitching this spring. Like every year I think pitching is a huge concern for the Rangers. I think the Rangers will have a strong offense if they stay healthy and so so pitching. They can win their division but they can also finish 2nd or 3rd with their pitching.
