Rangers Rays - Sunday Afernoon

Rangers are off to a 3-0 lead, needing a win to stay ahead of Tampa in the Wild Card race. Feldman is pitching very well. Timely hits by Michael and Pudge. Angels down 7-0, so there's a good opportunity to pick up a game in the AL West. Boston play the Yankees tonight. It's hard to ever root for the Yankees, but for tonight, I guess It's OK.

Through 5 innings, still 3-0. Feldman with seven Ks and only two hits so far. Rangers really needed a pitching performance like this. A couple or three more runs would be nice.

I've been away from the TV and the team has been doing well. I'm afraid to start watching!

Come on back and watch, Texanne. You just missed a terrific play by Feldman on a one-hopper back to the box - went off his glove, landed behind the mound, and he recovered and made a great throw to 1st to end the inning. You'll see that one on Sportcenter tonight!

3-0, going to top of eight. I'd still like to see a couple more runs.

And O'Day picks up right where Feldman left off - strikes out the side in bottom of eight. 3-0, going to top of nine. Last score I heard, Angels were losing 8-1.

Hard to believe that the Rangers picked up O'Day off the waiver wire!

Frankie with a simple bottom of ninth to close it out, 4-0, Good Guys. Now 1-1/2 behind the Red Sox, with Boston hosting the Yankees tonight. Day off tomorrow, then three in NY. Angels were losing 8-3 in the ninth.

Just before the season, I was treated to a diatribe by former Ranger mgr. Kevin Kennedy about how Scooter Feldman was not a major league pitcher because he tipped his pitches.

I guess Feldman made a quick adjustment. Either that or KK is a dumb douche, who would pitch Jose Canseco in a game risking injury.
