Rangers no deals

Do yall feel the Rangers did the right thing by making no trades at the deadline? Basically keeping the talent in tact for next year? I don't know I felt this was the year. If they could have made a trade for one solid pitcher it could have made the difference between making the play offs. Not that it's still not possible if they can hang close.

Absolutely. Patience is what is going to take this ballclub into the post-season, if not this year, then the next.

I am very comfortable with the decision not to deal.

we dont need any more Harold Baines rent-a-player deals unless you think you have a great shot at the World Series that year.

too many stout teams out there to give up a great future.

i am very glad they are keeping and developing this team.

I am still unsure why we would be in the mix to trade for Halladay but we cannot make a claim for Kazmir when he was put on waivers. The Rays would not have let him go for nothing, but at least you stop him from going to the Angels. How do we have enough money to conceivably trade for Halladay, but we cannot make a claim for Kazmir and potentially get him for nothing?

This team is still a few years away. I don't see one player making a difference in us catching the Angels or The Red Sox.

Also, I have been a Millwood fan for a while but I am thinking his days in Arlington are coming to an end.

I think there are significant financial issues going on with the Rangers. They are not interested in spending money.
