One good thing the R's are doing this year (among many) they are cutting their losses - they have not been afraid of making a move. Jennings was local guy who I know they wanted to make good and did yeoman work in the first half, but sucked since All-Star break.

Nolan and Maddux are both of the same mold. If you can't throw strikes consistently and attack hitters then you are no good to us.

Jennings, Grilli, and Mathis have all struggled to throw strikes.
