Rangers fire pitching bullpen coaches tonight!

Just heard it on post-game radio show. Andy Hawkins (ex-Padre P) new pitching coach, Jim Colborn new bullpen.

I dont really think it was Connors fault...he cant go throw the pitches for the guys...but it was time for a change

the pitching coach was from the AAA club so im sure they just want him to continue working with the young guys

Kam Lowe owes the best stretch of his career (albeit a brief one) to the 2 weeks or so he spent under Hawkins last year in OKC.

After tonite's classic pitcher's duel? Shocking. This team is 5 games out of the WC race with lots of ball to be played. Anything that gives them a chance to win while maintaining this good young lineup suits me just fine.

someone had to take the fall for this. i heard the rangers had a 6.63 ERA for the month of July...and had a winning month. that is unreal and i am amazed every day at how tough this team is.

Hooray... If we could get a special fielding coach we'd be in business, oh wait thats what Washington preaches.

And yet the Rangers are still the worst fielding team in the league.

I know it's not the coaches' faults.

But I digress.

Jury is out, but doing nothing and hoping the pitching or situation would get better is not a solution. That high ERA, hot bats and still winning games won't last, pitching must improve. Hope this change is step in the right direction.

oh i agree rico

im not happy about those deals. Im just saying that i think people are jumping the gun on some of these pitchers

also, since we got Hamilton for Volquez, i think that one should be ignored
