the silver boot means about as much to me as the state farm showdown.

that said, i cannot let go of the fact that the cowboys let the texans beat them in their first ******* game.
 
because living in houston, the score of that game gets mentioned on the radio ad nauseum during football season. maybe this year they'll be worried about more important stuff if they can field a decent team.
 
Yeah tonight may not be the night. Going up against Cole Hamels who has been on lately, plus the fact that the Rangers are 8-16 against lefties on the year.
Not to mention that the Rangers have become predictable on the w/l order and if the order continues tonight would be an L.

Please prove me wrong Rangers.

The Rangers have played some good ball against the Yanks so far. The pitchers are finally showing some pride and the batters are doing just enough to get by. This team has been fun to watch all year, especially now.

they have finished over .500 once since 2000
face it, no one outside teh metroplex even knows there is a major league team in north texas

-edit- I just saw the rangers attendance figures- the metroplex doesnt care either
 
Don't rain on our parade. Besides it has been made clear that the Astros are by no means God's gift to baseball. Yes the Rangers have won one game in the postseason, but we live in the present and presently the Rangers are red hot looking to sweep the Yanks and get 4 games over .500. Where are the Astros?

I have never said that the Astros are anything special, especially this year. And nice job claiming 'scoreboard' on a 3-3 series. But they have been historically ( and recently) a hell of a lot better than the Rangers. That is indisputable
 
This is a tired argument about how the Astros have done better, like stated earlier yes the Astros won a pennant and yes they got swept in the World Series. Last year they had a worse record than the Rangers and this year they also have a worse record. How recent is recent history? I will not argue that the Astros have had a better history, but it really doesn't matter it's like arguing who's the best loser.

I didn't mention scoreboard. That was Rico, I don't call scoreboard when its 3-3.
 
Does Ron Washington get paid? Who puts in a rookie for his major league debut in a 1 run game in Yankee Stadium with 3-4-5 coming up? Did he want to lose that game? I know the bullpen is in shambles, but damn
