Rangers 2 an 0

Sign of a good team or are the Indians just that bad? Guess that remains to be seen. Either way better then starting 0 an 2.

I went to The Ballpark for the game. The 8-5 win was nice, no doubt, but...
- Padilla was a bit shaky a couple of times.
- The three throwing errors hurt. This pitching staff needs all the defensive help it can get, and three errors won't cut it.
- The offense won't average 8.5 runs a game forever. They can definitely hit, but they're going to have to pitch and play defense so they can win 2-1 or 3-2 games on days when the opposing pitcher is on.

This was the first game on my mini-plan this year, so it's the first time I've seen the changes to The Ballpark. The video graphics on the facades of the decks are OK, but they remind me too much of Anaheim. I do not like the new out-of-town scoreboard in left field - the old manual scoreboard had a certain Fenway-like charm to it. Last night was dollar-hot-dog night, so I had one - and it didn't taste as good as I remembered from last year.

Anyone else got a thought on those?

Regarding hot dogs: MaxHorn would probably kill Sheriff Blaylock if he could get off a good shot.

Kinsler, Young, Hamilton, and Cruz is a pretty salty foursome. Not to mention Davis, Andrus, and Salty. Could be another record-breaking year.

hard to believe they are the only undefeated team after only 3 games. first time for Rangers in 13 years.

Our lead-off hitter is probably leading the world in RBI's, of all things.

3 an 0....need to update the thread title.

This is a fun start for this team.... but as a long suffering Ranger fan, I know better than to get my hopes up too much after a 3-0 start... as impressive as this is. This team has the hitters to win a lot of games, but they must have some decent, timely and healthy pitching along the way - especially in the late innings when they need to close the door.

Oh, and I do like the red uniforms again... reminds me of that magical '96 season.

ESPN said most runs ever given up by the Indians in first three games of season.

Saying a lot, given how bad some of their teams were back in the day.
