hey everyone, it's been a while since i've been on the board (like anyone noticed). i felt like posting, but i don't have the time right now to read all of the threads so i apologize for not adding on to a topic that may have already been started.

1. i made time to go to the first day of the Kingwood Classic. I really like TMG and i always have. i understand the size argument, but i think he's deserving of a 4 star ranking. imo he's better than Jai Lucas who also doesn't have the greatest size either. i love his poise and patience. he just doesn't change expressions whether he's up by 20 or down by 20. i really hope we get him. i'm willing to sacrifice some size at the point if we can get bigger at the 2 and 3, which it looks like we're doing.

2. i like Tiny Gallon. if it wasn't for his lack of effort or not wanting to repeatedly impose his will on the opponent i would love him. this was only my 2nd time seeing him so someone feel free to correct me if i'm wrong. does anyone know why we're not recruiting him? i'm assuming him going to Oak Hill after the Durant situation has something to do with it.

3. i don't know why but i was fascinated watching the two 8th graders play. it will be interesting to see how they turn out.

4. the Brandon Bass squad where a bunch of grown a** men especially the dude with the flat top. a few of them could jump out of the gym.

5. Jordan Hamilton is fun to watch and would be even more fun wearing burnt orange. very smooth athlete and i was surprised by his ability to handle the rock. looks like he could play the 2 easily.

6. i'm so happy for DJ Augustin. i wish him the best of luck.

7. i'm not sure what's going on with Abrams, but it kind of reminds me of the Gibson issue about wanting to play point. i hope it works out for all parties involved just like the last time.

8. i'm a Rockets fan. i can't root for the Mavs, but for some reason i root for the Spurs even though they've got more skins on the wall now. i like Manu... even though he flops and now after last night i am a Parker fan. The whole end of game interview followed by Charles Barkley being Charles Barkley was priceless.

There's no doubt in my mind TMG is better than Jai Lucas. He's better than Nic Wise, too, who was more similar to him than Lucas.

If Texas lands him, I'll be able to root for him. I LOVE watching him in high school, but his size concerns me in terms of defense, and his hands are so small it makes it tough on him to finish around the basket. He has plenty of talent, though, and his intangibles are as good as they come.

I'm glad Texas is no longer recruiting Gallon. He doesn't irritate me as much as DeAndre Jordan used to, but it's close. I don't think the Oak Hill thing is affecting his recruitment as much as his lack of effort on a consistent basis. Plus, who knows? Maybe it was as much about Gallon eliminating Texas.

The two 8th graders are going to be ballers.

The star of Brandon Bass Elite, Latavious Williams, is being recruited the hardest by Kansas State and Baylor. I hope they can land him.

I've got a man crush on Jordan Hamilton. He wasn't what I was expecting. I've watched film on him. I thought he'd be a perimeter oriented outside gunner, with a bit of a star attitude and something of a ball hog. I couldn't have been more wrong!

He's an infectious kid that plays the game with an enthusiasm that's contagious, and a real joy to watch. He reminded me of Kevin Durant in that regard. He just looks like he's having so much fun out there.

I didn't see him take a single 3 pointer that I can recall in four games, so it's obvious he was working on other aspects of his game. At 6'7 he was putting it on the floor and attacking the basket regularly. He was also constantly looking for his teammates, handing out dimes left and right. I swear he had about 12 assists in his game on Friday night.

And he acted like anything but a star. He was humble, and excited to be there. I absolutely love this kid. At this point I'll be emotionally crushed if he chooses another school.

Jordan Hamilton was just extremely impressive to watch. everything you said about him was true.

TMG is definitely better than Wise. i was never overly impressed with Wise.

So Gallon does have a history of being too passive. i like to pull for the Houston kids so i hope he reaches his potential.

i wouldn't be surprised if Williams' star begins to rise this summer.
