Why is this clown seriously considering yet another fruitless independent run for the Presidency ?

If he gets in the race he would peel 2-4% from the D vote and pretty much guarantee a R victory in November.

I guess if he gets in, the Ds better hope that Bloomberg gets in as well. so that someone will peel off some R vote.

Bloomberg would garner a more significant % of the vote than Nader, which would presumably hurt the GOP.

I don't have a link, I saw it on Channel 8 News here in Austin. Sorry. Maybe they have a link on their website, but I am too lazy to look.

Suppose for a minute Obama doesn't get the Democratic nomination.

He would instantly be a viable third-party candidate if he decided to continue his run for the presidency.

Should he?

I can't not imagine Obama doing that. All he would do is split the D vote between Hilliary and hiself and the Rs would coast into the White House.

Plus he is young enough to make several more runs at this deal.

If John McCain is the Republican nominee, he would also draw independents away from him. By breaking away from the establishment his campaign would truly seem like a movement, drawing even more people to him.

The question is, if elected could he govern effectively after pissing off the established parties?

Times have changed. I think people would go into vote for him, see the name "Ralph" on the ballot and suddenly think "whoa, i'm about to vote for someone named Ralph, **** this!"

Nader says he needs to believe he can raise the ten million to get on the ballots and make a race. The R's should find some way to give him that money, it would help them more than spending it on advertising.

As for Bloomberg, he hurts the R's if Clinton is the nominee, but helps if Obama is the nominee, from what I am told.

I'm hoping that a lot of the people who went out and voted for him last time will realize what that caused.

It's all about the lesser of two evils. neither major party is worth a ****, but one is going to be closer aligned to the issues you believe in. And the other is going to do a bunch of **** that is horrible in every feasible way....on their way to becoming the worst administration in history.

That's my first and last politically-motivated west mall post.
