Rain Out

It's just a little wet.

If the infield's covered and no one minds playing on wet carpet we could be fine after the line blows through.

this line should blow through in the next 30... looks like it'll just be cloudy the rest of the evening with a chance of scattered thunderstorms into the evening.

hopefully we'll be playing ball tonight.

ok, well maybe not the next 30. it just got worse.

Looking good now.

It's also not cool to start a thread titled "Rain Out" when you're only asking if there's a rain out. Use a question mark in the title, please.

I hope they do get the game in. With the compact schedule you guys are playing it would be hard to reschedule I would think, although they could do a double header in May, the next time the Bobcats play at your place. I think this is going to be a real good game. Both teams have a capability of scoring A LOT of runs and both teams have been playing good defense and have good pitching. With a couple of exceptions (New Mexico and Houston) Texas State has played everyone close this year and here in the last two weeks have had scores that look like football games rather than baseball (14-3 over Texas Tech to name one). The Bobcats also have the same number of losses as the Horns (5) and have beaten some decent opponents. The Bobcats however have not faced a team with the across the board talent as Texas but don't underestimate the Bobcats.

i swear i'm not being an ***, but did you misspell beaumont? if not, what is beaumot?... being genuine .

Pretty sure it's on. Augie has a lineup on the stats page already, and there's no word of a rain out on the website.

They said on AM 1300 that the game is pushed back at least to 6:30, possibly 7:00. They're still watching the weather.

Not raining in northwest Austin, where I am still at work.

AM 1300 just went out to the Disch. Craig is into the pregame show.

Augie is talking to Craig right now, and he is saying that there is some kind of storm system on its way through, but they're going to wait a little longer. He said if they can't get started by 7:00 or 7:15, they're going to call it a night. He said the players have class early tomorrow and then they have to go to Lubbock (Thursday, Friday, Saturday series because of Easter), so he's not keeping them out any later than that.

"It beginning to rain and the Golden Spikes, the spirit group for the baseball team, are gathered around the tarp in case they need to roll it out..."

Keith Moreland apparently doesn't know the proper name - Iron Spikes.
He gets a pass.

i got to the disch at about 6 and the game had just started. i left in the middle of the fifth when the drizzle started to get too heavy. it was already cold so i decided to come home to a warm plate of spaghetti.

I blame the lack of question mark in the thread title for the low attendance at the park tonight.
