Rain forecasted for Friday

Weather.com says 70% chance of thunderstorms on Friday and 30% chance on Saturday. Jeez, seems like weather is an issue every weekend. Hope the predictions are wrong.

I agree about the DH. As much fun as they are, I think attendance suffers. Two seperate games Friday and Saturday afternoon (assuming decent weather) would pack them in for this series. And we need a full house to take full advantage of home field.

A good crowd can be a significant advantage this weekend. Although they get good crowds for their bedlam series games, their home attendance is a fraction of Texas'. For example, they only had an announced attendance of 1600 in their recent Saturday DH vs. TT in Norman.

Man, all the DHs are confusing me. If we play a DH, will DH be the DH for the DH at the Disch? R.J.

So I'd assume OU is already in town, meaning that the games must be in by Sunday at 4pm?

I say there's no way we play tonight, hopefully it clears by 2 pm tomorrow so we can have a 2 pm/6pm DH ... Sunday should be fine.

Yeah, I guess if OU is here, they would really attempt to get the game played tonight (?), rather than risk a double-header for tomorrow. Anyone know when an announcement might be forthcoming, or anyone know for sure if OU is on the way, or already here? (Out of town friend is going to call this afternoon for information, needs to decide when to come to Austin)

here is the latest hour by hour from weather.com. My experience is they tend to be more accurate than the local yocals. It might depend on the lightning situation if we can get in a late game tonight.

I did confirm with UT baseball office that ou sucks did arrive yesterday, so the clock is running. Also confirmed that ou still sucks.

No decision has been made on tonight's game and info will be posted to texassports.com. They did not give me a hint of decision time.

looks like i'll only get to see the sunday game. i'm pretty sure talks are already in discussion for a DH on saturday.

I don't see any way we'd push a game back 3 hours to 9 pm.

It's either a DH tomorrow, one Sunday ... or we're only getting in 2 games.

Things are looking better every minute. I think we just might be OK for a 6 PM start. They've gotten a little over an inch at The Disch and I assume we can play within an hour of it stopping.

I predict those storm cells south of Bexar County will miss us to the east.

They have no Chance!

If the game is pushed back to 9p, they will have to not use the PA system or APD will cite UT for violation of the city noise ordinance. Heck the ping of the bat might exceed the 70 decibel limit. Good thing the Horns can bunt.

I call it like WunderMpas sees it.

Pellitized rubber doesn't absorb water either I don't think so once that tarp comes off the field, we'll be good to go!

This morning the TV weather predicted periods of rain cells passing through, but also reforming and starting up again at different times. Looks OK now, though.

Exactly right, EHS. Between that guy's clownish style and the "same as almost every minor league venue" moronic sound effects...

Coincidence? Maybe, but why risk it???

wow... was about to post it hasn't rained here in oak hill for the past 45 minutes, but i could hear some thunder rumbling in the distance..

guess what? it started raining again.
