Rafael Cruz Wants to Send Obama ‘Back to Kenya’

Relatives..... In September 1978 Billy Carter made a highly publicized trip to Libya with a group of Georgia legislators and businessmen eager to make deals. Several months later, he hosted a delegation of Libyans in Atlanta, as they looked for a place to locate a permanent trade mission. When asked why he was involved, Billy said, "The only thing I can say is there is a hell of a lot more Arabians than there is Jews." He also argued that the "Jewish media [tore] up the Arab countries full-time," and defended Libya against charges of state-sponsored terrorism by saying that a "heap of governments support terrorists and [Libya] at least admitted it."

To mainstream voters, Pastor Cruz's remarks seem outlandish. To a significant percentage of GOP primary voters not so much.

Sadly, the traditional, rational conservatism is almost dead. Instead replaced by the hard-right, reactionary group.

I certainly agree that the most partisan have taken control of the Texas Republican Party. The Democratic Party, which used to produce center-right leaders like Bob Bullock and Bill Hobby doesn't do that anymore.

And newdoc, I certainly wasn't speaking about people who post here when I was talking about folks for who Pastor Cruz's remarks ring true. I've been to some Tea Party gatherings (hell, believe it or not I'm pretty passionate about the U.S. government spending and getting the fiscal house in order.) What I found there were not folks who want to take a clear-eyed look at fiscal sanity, so much as Super Republicans, strident and unflinching on the social issues where the GOP needlessly expends political capital and dissipates its strength before fiscal sanity can be achieved. And I've been on the mailing lists and still on encounter folks who would say it's been proven that Obama is a Muslim born in Kenya. It's not hyperbole. It's reality.

Suggesting someone be sent to either of those war zones is offensive. Too bad they do not have elected officials, now or in the past, that actually cared about their citizens.

I assume Rafidel Cruz would be ok with us sending him back to Cuba and his son back to Canada, since he feels that way about Obama. It's only fair.

I'm fine with it. However, would that make Biden president? And next in line would be a problem as well. We are so screwed.

Does this mean I can't think Obamacare is bad for this country? And does thinking so makes me racist? I guess I must have to hate myself too since I'm a man of color.

Roger35's WM conservatives are racist posts are clockwork.

accuratehorn nailed it. If those two are willing to vamoose, and if they can prove Obama was born in Africa the way they were born elsewhere, move on with it.

What I think is really hilarious is guy who comes onto a board insulting and picking fights from his first post, claiming to want civility in the same paragraph as he's calling people stupid, and then he has the gall to actually complain that people are attacking him personally.
