official from Lance's twitter...Livestrong... video announcement by Lance

RadioShack big new sponor... hundreds of outlets, over 30,000 employees... high visibility

Strange name I have to admit (to hear and see constantly).... but may come out with some loud and strong colors... probably accented around red and black.

Here's my nomination for theme song... the tune to Sugar Shack.. a very old rock & roll country beat song. Kind of a retro 6th street old Austin feel to it actually.

Check this one out... on iTunes (iStore)... Damon Fowler's "Sugar Shack" album... this cut: Some Fun
.. what a beat...

Any bets on the team members?

1. Lance
2. Levi?
3. Tyler Phinney?

Does it make sense for Cadel Evans to join, probably not because he also wants to win...

any other ideas?

Has he cooled down after the Maillot Jaune incident

I am pretty sure Lance, Levi and Chris Horner will be on the team. I am assuming Bruyneel will manage. I could see them pretty much taking all the directors with them as they are Bruyneel's guys and gals.

Continuing to raid Astana I could see them going after Kloden, Popovych, Zubeldia, maybe Noval, and one or two of the Swiss riders. Bruyneel probably has an eye on one or two of the younger guys, but I don't know which.

People still shop at RadioShack?

Good news though...I hate seeing so many stars on one team like Kloden, Lance and Contador...It makes the race boring.

I wonder why so many people were buying into the Nike rumor. It's not as if they need a high-profile cycling team to increase awareness of their brand. Anyway, glad that the sponsorship cat is out of the bag. I can't wait until they start naming the riders. There will be some surprises, some fairly obvious. And of course, like someone else mentioned, Bruyneel has his eye on some great young talent.

For those hoping to see George Hincapie on this team, sorry to say that he is one who will be not be there. He has no interest in leaving Columbia. (not at this time, anyway)

I hope Lance give Andreas Kloden some serious consideration. Before this Tour, I viewed Kloden in his T-Mobil gear riding shotgun to Jan Ullrich. Who could forget 2004's Stage 17 drama on Col de la Croix when Lance devoured Kloden in the final seconds to win the stage.

Now, it looks like Lance and Andreas have developed a strong partnership. With Levi out due to injury, I've enjoyed seeing the two work together and would love to see Lance include him on the new RadioShack team.

If you saw LA's post race interview today he claimed Contador is a strong rider but has weaknesses. When pressured to elaborate on those weaknesses, he declined. Liggett speculated it was Contador's mental approach. Next year will be so much fun.

For little electronics stuff and cable and connectors, sometimes Rat Shack is the only place to go. I'd definitely choose them over Best Buy if I can.

I agree, ND. I lost an adapter for something and did not want to replace the product. I went to RS and they had what I needed. Two wires got spliced, an adapter head added and voila, no new product needed.

Ratings will be through the roof. Good for VS Network. They deserve it. They have stuck by the Tour even without Lance and they show some cool events sometimes.

Not to digress too far, but replying to the preceding thread about VS paying its dues, i do not go in for technology all that much, but the high-def pictures were truly breathtaking. A real showcase for both HD and the French countryside.
