Radiohead in Dallas last night

anyone else go? I'm glad I had such a great ticket up close to watch Jonny Greenwood hash it out on stage. First half of the show had tons of their electronica, but they ended the show on a huge uptick. I thoroughly enjoyed it more than the reviews I've read from other cities, and can't wait to see them in Chicago soon.

I was there, unfortunately on the lawn, but the show was killer nonetheless. Was surprised how much In Rainbows they played, seemed like the entire album.

That show was great. I was at the back of the lawn, standing against the wall, but I didn't care. They are awesome live.

How was the opening act (Liars)? I missed it due to traffic, but they're playing Lola's in Fort Worth tonight.

I was in the lawn and happy to be there. The lighting effects were unlike anything I've ever seen. The band was clearly into it as well. It was truly a unique concert-going experience, and I HIGHLY suggest that if you get the chance, do it.

Although I did just see that they played "Street Spirit" in Houston on Saturday-- my favorite song. Oh well. We did get 2 tour premieres ("Wolf At The Door" and "Dollars & Cents").

where's a good site to view the playlists from recent shows, including last night? My brain shut off and my ears took control, so I can't recall everything they played.

just looking over previous setlists, its interesting to see how varied they are.

i was also keeping a setlist of my own and compared it, and entirely missed two songs somehow. don't even remember them at all.

ps radiohead is awesome.

Indeed an epic performance, glad to have taken part!

Sidenote - remember when the random yahoo shouted out at the end of Exit Music...the part when the entire audience is hanging on the silence?

Well I thought is was just a "waaahooo" which drew the homorous retort from Thom, something like, "ahh, a funny guy...I'll show you funny" According to the Hardline (Corby and Danny were at the show...BTW Corby called it a top 5 show and Danny said it could have been his best concert ever)...anyway, they claimed the guy yelled, "hook 'em horns" !?!?!

Can anyone confirm or deny?

They seem to be blowing people away.
One friend posted some mobile uploads on Facebook from the Austin show and the next day another friend posted from the Dallas show. The Dallas friend is about a 40 year old mom who I think took her two kids. Austin girl is only 36-37.

Older chicks who still like to get their groove on.

It sounds like Radiohead and Wilco are the two bands to see right now... and I just found out today that I missed Shakira playing for free on Saturday at an all day "For The Kids" show here in Buenos Aires. I KNOW!

for some reason I just can't seem to get into them.

Can someone recommend a good place to start for them?

Thanks in advance.

I was lucky enough to get pit tickets. While the Bends and OK Computer will always be a mainstay for me, I am sold on what they have been doing over the past few years after seeing how it is done up close.

I heard the lawn seats were pretty cool just bcause of the light show and wish I could have seen it, but I could not leave my perch so close to the stage.

Also, I haven't been to Starplex or whatever it is called in 10 years, but it was alright. Big thumbs up toThe Link center for not overselling the pit. It was not crowded like I expected it to be.

Anyone know what the attendance figures were? We were on the lawn and I've never seen that many people there for one band before.

While I was waiting to buy a $9 beer, I overheard someone behind me say that the venue can hold a bit more than 20,000, with close to 8,000 seats. Looking from the seating area back into the lawn, it sure looked like there were more there than that.

I, too, really enjoyed seeing the talent and precision it takes to pull off some of the newer music they played. The two drumsets set up at the front of the stage for There, There(I think it was this song) was a treat.

the two drumsets were for Bangers and Mash... There There featured Johnny Greenwood and Ed O'Brien (the other guitarist) on a set of two toms each. There There absolutely killed in both Houston and Dallas. Optimistic was a higlight both nights as well in my opinion.

Oh yeah.... I just got a recording of the Dallas set and slowed down the part where the character yelled out to Thom during the apex of Exit Music, he doesnt yell "Hookem", he yells "Tommy!". Thom wasnt even mad when it happened, he gave the guy a good laugh and a ncie remark. They had such great energy during that Dallas show, just an amazing set. Still would love to hear Let Down sometime.... I can only imagine what it takes as a set of muscians to pull that song off. There is so much going on.
