Have recently been instructed to quit using podcasts, etc from office computers.

Working on the 30th floor, are there recommendations for a radio that will play am/fm? What about a portable xm radio unit? Appreciate any suggestions.

I don't know how well this would work, but when my mom was in college, she attached the antenna of her radio to the window frame in the hi-rise dorm she lived in. Apparently, it worked for her...

Or you could download podcasts ahead of time...

Whatever you do, remind them that they said you could play them if you kept them at a reasonable volume.

On Southwest side of building. Podcasts are fine, but I have two kids with lots of activities after school. I preferred using streaming radio, hence where xm portable radio may come in handy.

I brought a Sony weather-fm-am-tv analog tuning radio into work and it is much better than I thought it would be (I didn't think it would work).

I've heard good things about the ccrane and GE super radio
