I'm wondering the same thing after seeing them in one of the Chronicle's top 10 lists. My wife and I drive by every time we heading to her parents' place, one of these times we're just going to have to stop and check it out.

I have been there a number of times on the way out to the lake, not exceptional, but good. I would not drive all the way out from austin just to eat there, but would not mind stopping there if I were in the area.

I agree with the last poster. I've eaten there many times on the way to play golf at Horseshoe Bay. But I wouldn't make a special trip.

I go there mainly because the owners seem like good people. The BBQ is above average and the quantities are large.

Excellent home made pies.
