I still own my original WalkMan from the 80s... Not sure if it was THE very first model, but it was close. What is funny is it still looks fairly stylish and it works great and is pretty compact.
I wonder if it is worth anything?

I used to have the yellow "sports model". Damn thing weighed about five pounds. It gave your arm a good work if you held it while jogging. God knows you couldn't attach it to your shorts, they'd be down around your ankles before you went 10'/

Bought one in December 1980 and listened to it all the way on a drive from Austin to Las Vegas. Probably used about 10 sets of batteries on that trip. Still have it in a box somewhere.
