Quote from good Roy Williams

After seeing his tackle in Sunday night's game, I think the Cowboys should move TO to safety, making way for the good Roy Williams to be our new #1 receiver.

TO could play just about any position on the field. such a freak. i really do want to see him in a 'foot race' w/ a DB just to see how bad he smokes them, that guy is unbelievably fast and he actually looks like it too. sometimes when a tall guy is fast it looks 'easy' (a la moss or VY), but he looks and IS fast as hell.

TO has a new fitness book that just came out. They dude definitely works out. I'm going out on a limb and guessing the good Roy Williams wants to be a Dallas Cowboy!

Back on topic, I would love to see Roy4 as a Cowboy.

The questions are (a) are you willing to do a deal with the Lions before Roy become a FA, (b) if so, what would it take to pry him away from Matt Millen's replacement, (c) if not, what will it take to sign him as a FA, and (d) do the 'Boys have room under the cap to commit those kind of resources to another WR while T.O.'s big contract is still on the books?

Just curious: In the Jerry Jones era, how many Longhorns have been Cowboys? Is Big Leonard the first? My impression is that he's not fond of Horns, but the lack of them could just be purely coincidence.

Wane McGarity is the only other one I can think of that stuck around for any length of time, but I honestly think it is pure coincidence that there haven't been more.

westbrook didn't go to dallas until after he'd suffered a ruptured achilles and a broken femur (IIRC). he was a shell of his former self by the time he made it to dallas. it's a shame. in my opinion, he was and still is the best db we've had. we were just making our way out of suckville when he was here, and played a huge role in paving the way for the increased recognition of guys who came along later.

Now that Matt Millen is gone from Detroit, I think it will be much easier to wrest 'Good Roy' from their grasp. They are going to want to scuttle any and every thing that has to do with Matt Millen, good or bad, and start over.

Jerry needs to use this to his advantage and get another WR in that can be a solid #2 guy.

The theory is that because Jones is an Arkansas grad, he won't draft Longhorns.

Well, until last year with Felix Jones, he had never drafted an Arkansas player in his 20 years of owning a team. It seems that where the player played college ball has no bearing on if he gets drafted.
