Question regarding Erin Andrews video

If they are unable to identify the person responsible for the video, can she sue the hotel? Just wondering if the law allows for the hotel to be held liable in a case like this.

I would think that any first rate hotel chain would settle out of court on this ASAP.
 
I will have to watch it a few hundred more times before I can chime in, but I sure hope that she doesn't sue her barber.
 
it would be ******** for the hotel to get sued over this. but i'm in the group that thinks suing property owners for actions visitors did from their own stupidity on said property is retarded.
 
We don't know enough facts to be able to determine if there is a basis for hotel liability. Was this a video through a door peephole that was defective in allowing two way viewing? Was is a hole punched in a wall? How long had it been there? Had the hotel been notified of the condition? Was there a guy loitering in the hall with a camera for hours? Did the hotel never inspect the walls for peepholes? Did they publicize the appearance of a celebrity? Was the film taken by a hotel employee with a history of voyeuristic habits?

I would think there are dozens of questions that would have to be answered before any of us could categorically say the hotel can or can't be held liable.
 
It seems as though this is a hole punched in the wall for peeping... and it sounds from several sources as though it was a hotel employee responsible. That said, both of those assertions may not be true, as a lot of the articles are hazy on the details.
 
And that's just it. Unless you are in the jury, hearing all the facts presented in the case, how are you supposed to decide if someone should be held responsible for something or not?

Assume it was a hotel employee. Was it a first instance of this kind of conduct by any employee of the hotel? Had he been thoroughly investigated before being hired and was there no indication of any wrongful conduct in his past? Did the hotel put celebs in a special wing that was more regularly examined for security flaws? Was the hole drilled that very day?

It's unlikely that we will ever know all the facts unless the case goes to trial and someone obtains the trial transcripts and documentary evidence.
 
TMZ claims they have seen 6 of these from different hotels. If so then it would sound like someone from ESPN. I would start with anyone fired in the last few months.
 
i saw it, it's grainy- but definitely resembles Erin. She's walking around naked, or as some like to say- nekkid.

It's far away, grainy- but my reaction to it was- wow

I'm not looking for it again- heard too many viruses are posing as this video now.
 
She is standing in front of a mirror nude curling her hair and keeps checking out her ***. Then she is ironing again in the nude. You can tell it's her by the nose if you know it's her to begin with, but the resolution is so bad if you didn't know it was her you would be hard to figure it out. The body looks good even in bad resolution.

I am curious if more will show up. Blazerfan supposedly had 40 videos posted at one time but they are all gone now. Not all were Erin Andrews but not sure how many there were.
 
Think about this for a moment (not about the video)....

1. Someone knew what city she would be in (not hard to know).

2. Someone knew what hotel she would be staying at (still not hard to find out)

...now it gets tricky....

3. Someone had to have knowledge of the room she was in or would be staying in (not easy)

4. The perps (or pervs, your choice) then had to have access to the vacant room next to hers and perhaps had to have access prior to check in (this points to a number of people who are culpable and had to include someone working at the hotel).

My assessment...if she pursues this....hotel(s) is going to get sued big time and someone with ESPN travel is in a shitload of trouble.

The mere idea that I might inadvertently stumble across such offensive material is of great concern to me. Could you please provide addresses so that I can make absolutely certain I do not chance upon these sites? Thank you.
 
I didn't realize so many were desperate to find grainy low-res nude videos obtained by peeping tom perverts.
