A buddy of mine would like to know if those "night firming" creams and clay masks actually work? And, do the more expensive ones work better?

Masks actually work...and so does exfoliation and microdermabrasion...

Expensive ones do not necessarily work better...

I use Mary Kay instead of generic face stuff, because it works better (for me, at least. Everybody's skin type is different)

I'm not yet to the firming cream stage, so I can't comment on that.

According to Oprah last week

, antioxidants and sunblock are really all you need. Anything with vitamins A,C and E help. I don't know. We don't age much in my family. I'm in my mid 30's but my skin doesn't look it.

I have used beaucoups of products...night creams, firming blah, blah, blah...etc...some expensice and some not...

Bottom line is: hydration, vitamins and antioxidants...

I am in my early 40's and don't look it....part of that is genetics and the other part is that I actually take care of my skin...

Started using MaryKay recently after having used: Prescriptives, Lancome, Chanel, La Mer...and I am actually noticing that my skin looks smoother...go figure...

The best product on the market is Kinerase...best stuff I have EVER used...but VERY expensive...fabulous stuff though...

In the morning if my face is a little puffy I'll put on an ice pack while doing stomach crunches. I can do 1000 now. After I remove the ice pack I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial mask which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

yuppieprick, so aptly named.

This wasn't for me, face creams aren't my bag baby.

Tgarden, who is gay? My buddy or Yuppie Prick?

There's an overnight product called Skincerity sold in dermatology offices in Houston that's pretty awesome for hydration and vitamin e.

Yep - YuppiePrick totally out kicked his coverage on that reply. Obviously American Psycho isn't on everyone's viewing list

There is a moment of sheer panic when I realize that Paul's apartment overlooks the park... and is obviously more expensive than mine.
