Question for fellow Gmail users ...

Is anyone using an email client such as Eudora or Outlook Express with Gmail? Before my lazy *** tries to set it up, thought I'd check with fellow Gmailers first.

I don't think gmail can be used with outlook or eudora yet. Someday maybe, but not now.

Doubtful it will happen anytime in the forseeable future, if ever... GMail generates revenue from the ads that are seen through the GMail website. These ads don't reside in your email though -- so if you are pulling your email off of their server with a mail client, you are essentially using their service "for free".

mhayden, great point ... completeyl forgot about that. Given your comment, I'd suspect we won't see that capability for quite a while, though I have to think some geek will write a hack for it in the near future.

somebody made the same program for gmail, but it is EXTREMELY resource intensive.

it sucks up a LOT of RAM to run.
