My new job requires that I travel quite a bit and I need to get some good quality luggage (suitcases, garment bags, computer bags, etc.) I would appreciate recommendations anyone has. I don't mind paying good money for something I will keep for a long time. I refuse to buy cheap products. Thanks!

Most airline pilots use a rollaboard bag made by Purdy Neat. The are heavy nylon on sturdy metal frame, with a sturdy metal handle. They're made to conform to carry-on size standards, but they are pretty pricey. Upwards of $250 for the rollaboard. Here's a link.

The other bag you see many flight attendants use is Travelpro. We know own two of them, and I can see why - they are light, well designed, and are holding up much better than our other bags, even if they are made of the same "ballistic" nylon.

Ya gets what ya pay for.
