You guys need to quit getting your info from television and other outlets for the 24/7 news game. Aside from the flamethrowers, who are very good for their humor at least, there is not much intelligent stuff to pick up. I will read Coulter a few times a year just for her sense of humor.
IF you read it a year later, most of what they throw out is first impression bile and turns out inaccurate.
The scholarly magazines and quarterlies are better sources. Just for example, Justice Stevens has been writing occasional lengthy pieces for the New York Review of Books lately and they are thoughtful and thought provoking. I don't agree with him much but he steers the reader's internal conversation in more useful directions than the dredge in the 24/7 world.
The other Condi Rices are writing but not in the weekly standard or the nation and are not making gobs of cash appearing on the television shows-----which increasingly resemble the monkey island at the san antonio zoo---a bunch of primates heaving **** at each other and scratching their asses.
