Wasn't the guy who came up w/ Gatorade also a Longhorn (working at UF)?

He was:
James Robert Cade (September 26, 1927 – November 27, 2007) was a professor of medicine and physiology at the University of Florida who invented the sports drink Gatorade.[1] Cade graduated from The University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas.[2] While in college he joined Delta Upsilon fraternity.
Grew up playing baseball with his son - tremendously smart man. This is pretty cool ...
Oh, and his son spent a year on the UT baseball team - would have been 1999-2000 season, I think. Best player I ever played with, and couldn't hack it at UT (and that's not an insult). Gave me new appreciation for how good D1 athletes really are.
This Pure Sport invention comes from the same research room at UT that came up with the new Accelerade recipe a year or two ago. (4:1 carbs to protein)
This is his newest thing.
I have many triathlete and long distance runner friends in town, and hear the workout one tastes pretty crappy, but haven't tasted it myself. No word yet on the recovery drink.
That's the one that appeals to me.
