Pulled Pork

I’m looking for a good recipe for pulled pork. I have seen many ways to make this and just not sure of the best way to go about making this.

Also, anyone have a good sauce recipe to go along? I picked up a few bottles of Cooper’s BBQ sauce when I was in Llano the other week which I love for pulled pork, but I’m about out. I think I’m leaning towards a tangy sauce like this for the pulled pork, but I’m open for suggestions.

Thanks in advance!

Buy a Pork Butt (actually shoulder, but called butt) from HEB, throw on the smoker for 12-14 hours. Foil wrap for the last 3 hours. Hit internal temp of 195, pull, coat with sauce, enjoy.

I used Butt Rub (http://www.buttrub.com/ ) as the rub. Put it on the smoker at 250 and pull it off the grill when it's between 195-200. Then foil it and put it in a cooler for at least an hour before pulling it apart.

I prefer the Austin's Own original barbecue sauce. I very strongly dislike anything that resembles a vinegar sauce.

We usually do at least 2 and food saver the leftovers in bags holding 4-5 servings with a teaspoon of original Coke in each bag to keep it moist. Heat it up, and it's as good as off the grill.

I was at a place in NC dove hunting with the DU group in the area-- the sporting clays place had cooked a hog and it was great-- literally fell off the bone-- and as you walked by--picked what you wanted-- great stuff - would love to re-create that someday-- cold beer-- vinegary cold slaw and and hr later--shooting doves in the afternoon-- good times
