OK, just thinking aloud, but at this point, it looks like we aren't going to catch KU or OU. So, it may be best for us if they just go ahead and win out, beside the obvious exception of us. Honestly, I'm just hoping to win one of them. Then, take care of OSU on the road ... which is not a gimme, since it is their senior night.
1) By beating our other conference opponents, particularly Baylor, we could move into 3 place alone in the Big 12 standings. If we are tied with WV or ISU, we should have the tie breaker with wins over them. Not sure what the tie breaker with Baylor is, so better that they lose a couple times.
2) By winning out, KU and OU solidify their positions as 1-seeds in the tournament which generally looks good for our conference.
3) If we are sitting 3rd in the conference standings with the #1 SOS, won't it be hard for the committee to not give us the best seeding of the other conference teams?
Still a lot of basketball left to play including the tournament. But, as much as I hate seeing KU winning another conference title and routing for OU ever, it seems like them winning out would be the best thing for us.
