Pulaski Middleman

I just saw a Pulaski & Middleman commercial in the SE (I think 1-800-Bad-Drug). I thought Pulaski was an assistant DA in Houston. Anyone know when he changed his career to more of an ambulance chaser? What is his group's reputation in the legal community?
