The Yankees obviously went for the instant fix for the remainder of this year. I can't believe that there's any chance they would try to sign Pudge for next year - they either (a) expect Posada to come back or (b) already have another alternative in mind.

Yes it does suck. Pudge is my favorite catcher in the MLB, not even close. Now I can't root for him anymore because he's in the Bronx. Damn.

Pudge is one of my favorite all time players. Love Pudge, hate the Yankees. Well he's already won it all once (or twice), I'm pulling against him.

Plus, every season since he's been off the juice is a bonus season. He should be thankful he's still playing.
