Texas Farm Bureau Insurance waived the deductible for 'loss of use of house' for members in affected counties. All policyholders that filed a claim, whether over or under the deductible are being sent (same day) $1,000.00. I had less then $200 in damages and just received $1000 . Over 20,000 people in my counties office have recieved the $1,000.

Cash is nice, but it will have an effect on premiums down the road.

That was awfully nice of them. Of course, in most HO policies loss of use/ALE is "additional insurance" or an "extension of coverage" which is not usually subject to a deductible.
