PSA: Shiner 98 @ Whole Foods

I was at the Whole Foods in Arlington and picked up 3 sixers because I've never had it before. Pretty fantastic. Gonna go by tomorrow and see if I can get some more.

Bought some at HEB off Escarpment 2 days ago. Had my first one today after work. Good stuff.

$4.99 6pack @ walmart for about 3 weeks now. Cool label and packaging and better than 97 IMO, but not among my favorite Shiners.

This stuff is not that great for me. Regular Shiner and especially Kolsch are easily better for my taste at least. I hope they step it up for 99 and especially 100.

Very disappointed in the 98. Rather have the kolsch for this season.

I'm drinking the Kolsch right now. The 98 isn't as good as the 97, but it's OK.

The Kolsch is very good- better than most US versions- though not as good as the real stuff. The 97 was really good too- black lager.

Is there going to be any sort of special celebration in Shiner for the 100th anniversary. I would imagine that this would kick all kinds of ***.

Shiner 100 better be the best beer ever (a la Beerfest).

I like it, but I can't think of ambers I don't like.

Amber season is year-round.

Not a fan. We got a keg of it to serve at Valhalla, and we may not order another one. '97 was a big seller, we probably sold about 2 kegs worth per week last year.

100 indeed better kick some *** when its time comes.
